The Positivity Twister Game

Nintendo_Twister_14

Just have to say, LOVE this old twister picture!! Okay, now down to playing games!

Here’s the skinny. Our brains are programmed to think about what we don’t have, and then feel bad about not having it. It’s basically the best way to get you to buy into stuff your don’t really want.

It’s not your fault. We aren’t typically taught to think for ourselves on purpose, and it’s definitely time for that to change!

This is a simple and easy way to retrain the brain, and it actually works. Turns out the brain is pretty easily convinced.

I defined the word “positivity” and found a whole new approach. This is by far my favorite defintition….

  • Positivity-  2. the presence rather than absence of a certain substance, condition, or feature.

Without attaching it to any good feelings or optimism, just simply the presence vs. the absence of something. Love it!

So, here are the rules: (FYI. It has nothing to do with the actual game Twister.)

  1. Set your phone to go off every 4 hours from the time your wake up until you go to sleep each night.
  2. Every time it goes off name 10 things you have, off the top of your head as fast as you can! Almost like a speed game, don’t think to hard about it.
         Here’s where it’s different…

    • Don’t worry about looking for 10 things that make you happy or feel good, or even things you appreciate. That’s not the point! Just simply 10 things you have…. name your toe nails for all I care!
    • Keep it easy, simple, fun and fast!
  3. You can write them down if you want, sometimes I find the extra work keeps me from doing it at all. So just make a mental note, remembering them isn’t important. It’s the act of consciously choosing to focus that matters!

This is what you should notice, without even trying you’ll begin to automatically notice things you have more often than not. You’ll literally be adding to your life experience instead of taking away from it.

Next, you’ll begin to have positive expectations and you’ll begin to notice things that are on there way to you, whether they’ve showed up yet or not. At this point, hold onto your shorts, because you’re about to make shift happen!

Most importantly, have fun and play with this. Stop being so serious all the time!

Plus, make sure to subscribe to my mailing list to be kept in on the loop of progress (along with other sweet and juicy content), and come back here frequently to tell us all in the comments below how this game is working for you and what kind of awesome shift is happening in your life!

I’m so excited to play this game with you, and can’t wait to hear about your experience!
